Four extra Galway candidates have been nominated to contest the Seanad elections

They’ve been nominated by members of the Oireachtas and the deadline for this section of the nomination process was midday today

The four Trevor O’Clochartaigh, Senator Fidelma Healy Eames and Cllrs Peter Feeney and Tom McHugh join seven other previously nominated Galway candidates in contesting the closed Seanad elections next month

Voting is confined to specific groups such as councillors and NUI graduates
