A dispute involving part-time Bus Eireann drivers on 96 Galway school bus routes has now been resolved.

It follows a meeting held this week (Mon Feb 25) between SIPTU representatives and Bus Eireann Management.

SIPTU says hours have now been restored for three part-time drivers with some being moved to alternative routes.

The new arrangements mean threatened strike action involving 37 drivers has now been averted.

Andrew McLindon, Spokesperson for Bus Eireann says an amicable solution has been found
