Galway Roadstone employees return to work
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway Roadstone employees have returned to work following a successful resolution of a dispute over bonus payments.
The workers went to ballot on Labour Court recommendations issued last week, with 65 percent of employees voting in favour of the recommendations.
Roadstone had argued that bonuses should be restored on a phased basis until 2019, but the court recommended that the bonuses should be fully restored by 2017.
The strike began on the 16th of June and involved 15 Galway employees protesting at a site at Two Mile Ditch outside the city and at the quarry in Kilchreest.
