Galway researchers are leading a European union initiative aimed at Government transparency.

NUI Galway academics have launched a unique widget that provides a way for people to become actively involved in the immigration policing making process.

The digital enterprise research institute or DERI at NUI Galway is leading the multi million euro initiative.

A spokesperson for DERI says that while the widget is customised for Greece, Hungary, Italy and Spain, users from other countries can participate at a European level.
