Galway ranked second for shellfish coastal water quality

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway is the second best county for shellfish coastal water according to an annual national review.
County Clare came out tops in the league again, showing great awareness of the need for good water quality in shellfish-growing areas.
The review is a major part of the Irish Farmers Association Aquaculture work on behalf of 250 small and medium companies producing oysters and mussels.
Galway and Mayo also featured as two of the most important counties for shellfish production.
