GALWAY RALLY COULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ROAD REPAIRS

Galway International Rally could be made pay for the reconstruction of minor roads, used three years in a row.
Galway county councillors in Ballinasloe have decided to look for more funds to repair roads used by the rally.
Galway county council has agreed to temporary road closures between Laurencetown and Clontuskert from 11am – 8pm on Sunday
This is on condition the roads are filmed before and after to monitor the damage done.
Local priests in both Laurencetown and Clontuskert have also agreed with Galway Motor Club to change mass times to 10am to facillitate parishioners.
Galway Motor club must also pay a 5,000 deposit for road repairs to Galway County council.
