GALWAY PREMISES AND VESSELS SEARCHED FOR FISHING IRREGULARITIES

Searches have been carried out in a number of areas along the western seaboard, including Galway, as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities in the fishing industry.

Gardaí from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation along with local Gardaí were involved in the operations in the Galway, Donegal, Cork and Kerry regions.

A number of business premises and vessels were searched this morning.
