Galway planning applications drop by 5 percent

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Planning applications in Galway have dropped by 5 percent.

According to the National Housing Construction Index by Link2Plans, there were 689 applications in Galway last year, compared to 728 in 2012.

Meanwhile, commencements dropped by nearly a fifth last year.

The Index shows that there were 289 commencements in 2013, compared to 63 more the previous year, representing a drop of 18 percent.
