Galway physiotherapy clinic ahead of the times

A retired Army captain from Galway has brought a High Court action alleging failure to properly treat and support him for post-traumatic stress disorder suffered in Lebanon.

The Irish Times is reporting 54 year old Patrick Holmes of St Mary’s Road, claims he suffered four traumatic "near-death" experiences in Lebanon.

Mr Holmes is suing the Minister for Defence and the Attorney General arising from his being diagnosed with the stress disorder in November 1998.

The defendants are denying the claims and pleading the action is brought outside legal time limits.
