Galway next in line for tourist sea-plane

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway could be next to get a tourist sea-plane now that the first one has taken off from County Clare.

Ireland’s first tourist sea-plane has taken to the sky for it’s maiden voyage in from it’s base at Mountshannon.

Harbour Flights, a scenic tour company, hope to create up to fifty new jobs and expand to Galway, Dublin and Cork.

The tourism initiative is offering tours of Lough Derg, King John’s Castle in Limerick, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher and hopes to carry about 10,000 passengers in it’s first year.
