GALWAY MOTORISTS IMPROVE ON ROAD SAFETY

Galway motorists are slowly getting the message when it comes to road safety.

Penalty points were issued for 15 thousand speeding offences in Galway last month.

Almost three and a half thousand offences for driving while holding a mobile phone were clocked up by Galway motorists in February.

While the level of penalty points given to drivers in Galway remains high, it represents a drop of 200 on January’s figures.
