Galway mother delivers her baby in front seat of family car

The arrival of any new baby is memorable for all concerned – but little Aubrie Moran was determined to add an extra slice of drama to hers.

Because such was the speed of her arrival that mum Amanda had to deliver her little girl herself in the car park of Portiuncula hospital – while husband Michael desperately searched for a wheelchair to bring her in!

And to compound the drama the Morans’ other three children – Mischa, 5, Saoirse, 4, and Ella, 2 – had shaken off their seat belts in time to witness the miracle in the front passenger seat.

The family from the Galway village of Mountbellew began their adventure in the early hours of April Fools’ Day.

And by the time Michael returned, he was stunned to see his new baby girl Aubrie already lying in his wife’s arms.
