GALWAY MINISTER ANNOUNCES LITERACY PLAN AT CITY CONFERENCE

Minister of State for Training and Skills and Galway East Deputy Ciaran Cannon has just announced details of a new initiative to boost adult literacy.

The Government is going to include a module on literacy in all FÁS, VEC and other adult training courses.

Minister Cannon made the announcement at the annual conference of the National Adult Literacy Agency at the Carlton Hotel, Renmore this lunchtime.
