GALWAY MIGRANTS WANT INTERPRETERS FOR GP VISITS

Migrants living in Galway would like to have formally trained interpreters when visiting their GPs.

That’s the key findings of an NUI Galway Research project on cross-cultural GP consultations published today.

Members of the migrant community from Polish, Russian, Portuguese, Urdu, French Congolese and Nigerian communties in the Galway region took part in the research last April.
