GALWAY MAYORS CALL FOR MORE EXPENSES TRANSPARENCY

Both the city and county Mayors agree there needs to be more transparency in relation to councillors’ earnings.

It follows the publication of earnings by the Irish Independent.

It found that over one-million-euro was paid to Galway county councillors last year.

Over 517-thousand-euro was paid to their city council counterparts.
