Galway residents may need new water supply systems to cope with future climate change.

According to the Government website CHANGE DOT IE, regional shortages are already evident at certain times of the year.

Future climate change will entail longer dry spells, which means that supply systems will need to be designed to address these factors.

The Government campaign to reduce climate change has been in operation for years, and their CHANGE roadshow will be in Galway this week.

A team will be on hand to show people how to calculate their carbon print number, which calculates a person’s environmental impact based on their home and transport fuel usage.

The roadshow takes place in Tesco, Galway Shopping Centre on the Headford road from 11 to 7 tomorrow.
