GALWAY LIFEBOAT URGES SAFE DISPOSAL OF EMERGENCY FLARES

Galway RNLI Lifeboat crew are appealling to boatowners to ensure they return any out-of-date flares to the point of purchase or the army barracks.

The call comes as the lifeboat was launched twice last evening [18/5] in response to distress signals, which were later found to have no basis.
