GALWAY LIFEBOAT GOES TO YACHT IN DIFFICULTY OFF HARE ISLAND

Galway RNLI Lifeboat has gone to the rescue of a yacht which appeared to be in difficulty off Hare Island in Galway Bay but has found it empty

The lifeboat crew has searched the boat but no-one was on board and they feel the yacht broke its moorings.

They have towed the vessel safely to Galway Docks.
