Galway launches dementia friendly initiative

Galway bay fm newsroom -Galway needs to open a conversation about dementia.

That’s according to the regional manager of the Alzheimer society Des Mulligan who attended the launch of ‘making Galway a dementia friendly city’

Galway city partnership, the HSE, Galway volunteer centre, and Dare to dream were among those who attended the event at the westside resource centre.

The event co-incides with social inclusion week and aims to raise greater awareness and understanding of dementia in communities.
