Galway Bay fm newsroom – Job Shadow Day for Galway, which takes place next Wednesday, has been launched in Eyre Square this afternoon.

The scheme was set up by the Irish Association for Supported Employment in conjunction with EmployAbility Galway and aims to get those with disabilities working.

Job Shadow Day allows people with disabilities to shadow a workplace mentor as he or she goes about a normal working day.

Co-ordinator of the event at EmployAbility Galway, Pauline O’Dwyer, says these initiatives are beneficial as they raise awareness.
