GALWAY HOTELIERS COMPANY GOES INTO EXAMINERSHIP

Blackshore Holdings, which is owned by Galway hotelier and property developer John Sweeney, has gone into examinership.

The company is made up of Sweeney’s oil, property and hotel interests and is the parent company of Fate Park – a Galway based oil distribution firm.

Fate Park owed creditors over 17 million euro before going into examinership itself last year.

The 49 year old from Bushypark owns the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and is also a major stakeholder in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin.
