GALWAY HOSPITAL GETS UNIQUE LICENCE FOR EYEDROPS

People who have damage to their eyes and need specialist treatment will be able to attend Galway University Hospitals from now on.

GUH has been awarded the licence to produce eye drops made from patients’ blood serum, which some patients often had to travel abroad to receive.

It’s the only hospital in the country to achieve this standard.
