Galway Hospice – Director of Quality & Operations
Galway Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing specialist inpatient, home care and day care palliative services, predominantly for County Galway, in partnership with the HSE. It has developed into a centre of excellence in quality patient care, operating under the dual world-class standards of CHKS accreditation and ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The Hospice wishes to recruit a Director of Quality & Operations, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. In conjunction with the Chief Executive he/she will be responsible for:
- leading, developing and implementing the Foundation’s quality, accreditation and compliance function in line with regulatory and legislative requirements,
- developing and implementing quality and continuous improvement initiatives for all areas of the Foundation,
- assisting in developing and maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of the Foundation.
Requirements:
Applicants will have a clinical qualification, have previous quality & risk management experience and will be educated to master’s level. Ideally candidates will be experienced in the ISO 9001 compliance and certification process, HIQA registration and inspection process and other relevant standards. He\she will have excellent problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills suited to the ethos and environment at the Hospice
