GALWAY GARDAI INVESTIGATE ATTACK ON ELDERLY WOMAN

Gardaí in Galway are searching for two men who attacked an elderly woman in the city yesterday [20/8]

The woman was standing at the Cathedral carpark, when she was approached by the two men who asked her for money

When she refused, one of the men assaulted her while the other man cut her in the arm with a knife

The woman was hospitalised as a result and Gardaí are now appealling for witnesses to come forward
