GALWAY FISHING BOAT CREW IN WAGES DISPUTE

The crew of a Galway-registered fishing boat are caught up in a money controversy in Norway.

The crew of Capall Oir insist they are owed wages in the region of 160 thousand euro.

According to today’s Irish Independent, a wage demand has been drawn up by the Norwegian Seamen’s Union on behalf of the 16 crew members.

The vessel is berthed in the port of Tromso in Norway.
