Galway festivals secure Fáilte Ireland funding boost
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Fáilte Ireland is to invest 275 thousand euro into Galway festivals.
29 festivals planned nationwide this year will benefit from the 1.3 million euro funding announcement.
These include four Galway festivals with the Galway Arts Festival securing the largest allocation of 200 thousand euro.
Galway Oyster Festival is to receive 40 thousand euro followed by Galway Film Fleadh which has secured 20 thousand and Galway Comedy Festival which is to get 15 thousand euro.
Junior Tourism Minister Michael Ring says the Government wants to work on the legacy of the Gathering last year.
