A Galway entrepreneur has been recognised as one of Ireland’s top women in the field of technology.

Tara Dalrymple is CEO and Founder of FeelsRight (formerly Mission Possible) a reward and recognition SAAS platform which works with companies to improve and enhance their health and wellness offering to employees.

She is also founder of Busy Lizzie, providing pay-as-you-go secretarial services, virtual personal assistants, appointment management and digital marketing to small businesses with lesser resources.

She has been named on a list, compiled by Technology Voice and Irish Central, of the Top 38 Talented Women in Technology in Ireland. The list consisted of women who are driving technology and start-up scenes in Ireland, the US and around the world.

Tara Dalrymple has worked with Marks and Spencer, Lepus as an IT Consultant, financial PR with Financial Dynamics, Marketing and PR with Dorling Kindersley and Staniforth PR, and holds a BA in Human Geography and Business IT from the University of Gloucestershire.

Speaking about being named one of the talented women in tech, she said: “It is great to see such a strong list of women in the tech and startup scene. Women continue to represent less than 20% of all physicists, engineers and IT professionals. Encouraging girls and women to consider STEM and providing role models and mentors are just the first steps toward changing this.

“Our goal must be to create an inclusive STEM culture – beginning with noticing and challenging gender and other stereotypes, and under-representation, wherever we are.”

Tara is currently one of a team of five organising the inaugural Google Startup Weekend in Galway, at NUI Galway on November 14-16.

The weekend is about connecting with local developers, innovators, and entrepreneurs in Galway. Build community. Startup Companies. Launch a startup in 54 hours.  Follow the event on Twitter #galstartweekend.

Tara won SCCUL ‘ICT’ One To Watch in January, and was winner of the IEDR Optimise Fund this Summer.
