GALWAY ENTERPRISE BOARD TO SUPPORT 80 NEW JOBS

The Galway enterprise board is to support the creation of 80 new jobs following a funding boost of 200 thousand euro.

In the past hour, Taoiseach Brian Cowen and Enterprise Minister Batt O’Keeffe announced 3.3 million euro in funding for 35 city and county boards across the country.

450 new jobs will be created with the allocation of extra money.

The money will be used to help get start-up businesses off the ground, as well as supporting existing firms in creating and protecting jobs.
