GALWAY DRINKING WATER TO BE BROUGHT UP TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS

Galway County Councillors have given the go ahead for planning to proceed on a number of projects to bring drinking water up to European standards.

Remedial works are to be carried out in Woodford, in Kinvara, in Gort and on the Aran Islands.

The County Council has to carry out these works in various parts of the county because of the regulations governing drinking water quality in Europe.
