GALWAY DHL DEPOT TO CLOSE

Courier company DHL has announced that Galway depot is among seven that will close, with the possibility of redundancies.

The depot is located in deerpark industrial estate in Oranmore.

Other depots to close include Athlone, Sligo, Cavan,Enniscorthy, Waterford and Tralee.

There are also plans to restructure facilities in Dublin, Limerick and Cork.

Yesterday the courier company announced plans to lay-off 320 workers in
Ireland.
