GALWAY CYCLING CAMPAIGN REJECTS COUNCIL CYCLING SURVEY

There are calls for the city council to reject the city’s latest Cycling Survey.

Galway Cycling Campaign says the results will be meaningless because the survey is flawed.

The group says several issues are missing from the survey, such as roundabouts, one-way streets, road narrowings and poorly drained roads.

The survey is on the city council’s website and a public consultation will be held in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre in the city this Saturday from 10-4pm. (7/11/09)
