Galway customers to reap insurance merger benefits

One of Ireland’s leading independent insurance brokers will combine nationwide reach with local expertise to provide Galwegians with a wide range of products and first-class customer care

Campion Insurance has arrived in Galway through a merger with McLaughlin & Greaney Insurances trading as Future. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Under the terms of the merger, which has been approved by the Central Bank of Ireland, Future will become part of Campion Insurance.

The merger will allow Future customers in Galway to avail of the full range of insurance products offered by Campion Insurance, while maintaining the same level of local expertise in customer service as Future staff will continue to be employed in the Galway branch.

Founded in 1984 Campion Insurance has a presence in twelve towns and ten counties across Ireland and employs over 180 people. Campion Insurance is a full-service insurance solutions company offering personal, business and financial insurance products.

Having decided to establish a presence in Galway, Campion was drawn to the possibility of working with Future as a company whose leaders and staff have many years of experience and intimate knowledge of the needs of local people and businesses.

Chief Executive of Campion Insurance, Jim Campion said he was delighted to announce the arrival of Campion Insurance in Galway, which he called ‘Europe’s friendliest city’.
