Galway Credit Unions propose bond to assist flood crisis fund
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Two Galway credit unions have proposed that the League could assist in lending funds to the Government to assist with the flooding crisis.
Galway Senator Fidelma Healy Eames says St. Anthony’s and Claddagh Credit Union and Athenry Credit Union have suggested a Credit Union Bond to help with national flooding infrastructure.
She says members’ savings nationally are in the region of 10 billion euro which would be better than relying on funding from international money markets.
