GALWAY COUPLE CHARGED WITH ABUSE OF CHILDREN TO APPEAR IN COURT TODAY

A County Galway couple charged with the neglect and abuse of their children will appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court later this morning.

The man and woman – both in their forties – were formally charged before a special sitting of Galway District Court on Christmas Eve.

Both deny the charges.

The couple spent Christmas behind bars having been arrested and charged with the neglect and abuse of their children over a 12 year period.

The man and wife – who can’t be named for legal reasons – face 30 charges between them.
