Galway consumers are very concerned at soaring oil prices

The price of a barrel of crude oil reached one hundred dollars yesterday for the first time in history.

The Consumers Association is warning that if prices remain at these high levels shoppers will see a knock-on effect on the price of food, petrol, diesal and home heating oil.
