A High Court action is being taken against an arbitrator who settled a commercial dispute between a builder and a Galway construction company, according to today’s Irish Independent.

Arbitrator David O’Leary found that Glenman Corporation owed Finbarr Kavanagh of KBD Engineering 150 thousand euro, but ordered Mr Kavanagh to pay the full costs of the arbitration.

The builder is claiming the arbitrator was biased because he didn’t disclose he’d previously worked with Glenman, which is owned by Michael and Albert Conneally.
