Galway company chosen for European research funding

Galway bay fm newsroom – A Galway company, along with a Dublin company, have been awarded more than half a million euro in European funding for nanoscience research.

Crospon and Dublin-based Adama Innovations have been given 600 thousand euro by the European Commission.

Crospon, based at Dangan in the city, develops minimally invasive medical devices.

The European project involving funding of 600 thousand euro, aims to use nanoscience to develop smaller more advanced medical devices.

Crospon, which was set up by John O’ Dea in 2006, will lead the demonstration team on the project and test the effectiveness of the new devices produced.
