GALWAY COMMUNITY SECTOR PLANS ACTION AGAINST CUTBACKS

The Community sector in Galway is planning action against the cutbacks proposed by An Bord Snip.

Four of the main community groups have called a public meeting next week to discuss the impact of the McCarthy Report proposals on city communities.

The communities groups include Action for Equality, Galway, Galway City Partnership, Galway City Community Forum and Ballybane Community Forum.

The public meeting will take place in the Galway Bay Hotel this day week Thursday October 8th from 7.30-10pm.

A public rally is also planned for Saturday October 17th.
