Galway Community Intervention Team to provide nursing care in community setting

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A new Community Intervention Team will be launched in the city in the coming weeks.
The service will provide nursing care to patients in a community setting, through collaboration with carers and other professionals.
The Community Intervention Team will provide enhanced services and acute interventions for patients with acute illness, allowing them to be treated at home where appropriate.
C-I-T interventions will also include early discharge support to patients with certain conditions, and support for those with suspected poor medication compliance.
