Galway community events celebrate Irish language

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway groups and organisations held over 70 events this year to celebrate the Irish language.
That’s according to a new report from Seachtain na Gaelige to outline the success of the 2014 festival, in which over 80,000 people participated nationwide.
18 groups in Galway were involved in planning and hosting community events – the second highest level of group participation in the country.
Seachtain na Gaelige 2014 took place during the first two weeks of March and over 2,000 events were held worldwide in celebration of the Irish language.
