Galway Clinic founders are top newcomers to Rich List

A founder of the Galway Clinic in Doughiska, Dr. Jimmy Sheehan and his wife Rosemary are the richest new entrants to the Sunday Times Irish Rich List 2013.

Along with Jimmy’s brother Dr. Joesph Sheehan, the three join the Rich List at 181 million euro.

That figure is based on the 25 million euro profit a year generated in 2010 and 2011 between the Galway Clinic and Blackrock Clinic in Dublin, in which they are large shareholders.

Other top newcomers to the Sunday Times Rich List are Padraic, Martina and Martin McHale of McHale Engineering Group and Agricultural Machinery, based in Galway and Mayo.

Their wealth is valued at 85 million euro.
