Galway city rent prices increase by 3 percent
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Rents in Galway city have risen by almost 3 percent in the past year, according to the latest report from property website, daft.ie.
The average rent in Galway city is now 792 euro, an increase of 2.7 percent since the same time last year and just below the national average of 825 euro.
In the rest of the county, rents were, on average, 1.2 percent higher in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year.
The average advertised rent in the county is now 551 euro, however this is still a 22 percent drop from its peak.
Meanwhile, in Dublin, a lack of available properties to rent has pushed rent prices up.
There has been a 7 percent increase in rents in Dublin compared to the same time last year.
