GALWAY CITY HOSTS MAJOR YOUTH CONFERENCE

Cystic Fibrosis campaigner Orla Tinsley, author and former Irish Times Latin American Correspondent Michael McCaughan and Niamh Moloughney who coordinated the Free Gaza Irish Flotilla to Palestine are among the speakers at a youth conference in the city this weekend

The training is offered by youth charity SpunOut.ie as part of its work in empowering young people in their personal and social development.

During the three day event at the Harbour Hotel in the city they will be offered sessions on understanding media, online activism, the political system and campaign planning and strategy.
