Galway city has second highest rate of commercial vacancies
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway city has the second highest commerical vacancy rate in the country.
Figures provided for the second quarter by GeoDirectory show that the city has a rate of 15.8 percent.
This is topped by Limerick which has the highest vacancy rate of all five major cities studied at 17.2 percent.
The vacancy rate in the county stands at 13.8 percent.
Galway city has over 12 thousand commericial units, the third highest of Ireland’s main urban centres.
CEO of GeoDirectory Dara Keogh says Galway city and county have a vacancy rate which is higher than the national average.
