GALWAY CHAMBER SAYS CHRISTMAS MARKET IS NOT A THREAT

Galway Chamber, which represents city businesses, says the planned Christmas market in the city should be seen as a great opportunity and not as a threat.

At its September Board meeting, the Chamber Directors unanimously agreed to support the Market.

There have been concerns by several local businesses that it’ll be tough to compete with the market in the run up to Christmas.

However, Michael Coyle, who’s the Chamber CEO, believes the proposed Christmas Market in November and December will actually increase business in the city.
