GALWAY CHAMBER CALLS FOR OUTER CITY BYPASS DECISION TO BE OVERTURNED

Galway Chamber is calling for elected representatives to work together to overturn the decision to grant just part of the citys outer bypass.

They say that the road is essential for economic growth and traffic calming measures, and accepting just ‘half a bypass’ is simply not good enough.

Earlier this week, An Bord Pleanala granted permission for part of the bypass between the junction of Garraun and Gortatleva, and refused development west of the N59 between the junction of Gortatleva and An Baile Nua.

CEO of Galway Chamber, Michael Coyle says that everyone must strive to get this project up and going as quickly as possible.
