The family-owned Galway coach operator which has developed over the last three decades from a small local service into one of the biggest private operators in the country has announced a major expansion of its fleet.

GoBus.ie – which operates up to 20 daily departures between Galway and Dublin – is making a €3m fleet investment with the addition of ten brand new 2017 Volvo 9700 coaches to an already extensive high spec Volvo fleet.

These new coaches are all-embracing with the ultimate in luxury interiors, including free WIFI, power sockets throughout suitable for all mobile devices, on board toilet facility, air conditioning, and audio visual facilities but above all the ultimate in safety travel features.

GoBus.ie is owned and operated by Jim Burke and his family from Corofin.

Jim himself has over 30 years’ experience in the coach transport business, but he has also been joined by his sons Dara as Transport Manager and Donal as Fleet Engineer in recent years.

Together with their professional team they have built a coach business which employs up on 60 people and is based on the philosophy of providing the ultimate customer experience of comfort, luxury, efficiency and value for money between Galway and Dublin and Dublin Airport.

Jim Burke expressed his delight at the expansion.

“The scale of our investment is testament to GoBus.ie’s dedication to extending our services to best suit our customer’s needs,” he said.
