The Marty Party is taking off on a tour across Ireland – and it’s stopping off in Galway for a night of craic, chat and perhaps some dirty dancing along the way!

The popular sports broadcaster and former Dancing with the Stars contestant will host a series of guests for a night of music, chat, and laugh – not just at his dancing – at Leisureland on Saturday, March 25.

There will also be holidays and other prizes up for grabs at the show – with the emphasis firmly on fun.

It’s the Clareman’s way of proving his impersonators right, because his mimics Mario Rosenstock and Oliver Callan love to play up the catchline of “I’m Marty . . . and I like to party” – so that’s exactly what he’s going to do.

The Marty Party will feature a host of special guests – with every show featuring a variety of national and local stars. The line-up for each venue will be finalised closer to the date.

But among the guests already announced are Eurovision winners Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan, Cairdre and the Galway Tenors – who will join the local artists for each venue

“I am so excited about bringing the Marty Party around the country to five different venues, coming to Galway in March,” said Marty of the event which opened in Killarney last weekend and which has also visited Castlebar.

“Life is for living and we’ve all experienced tough times in recent years so this show brings people and communities together for a night out to laugh, sing and dance in a 21st Century variety party.

“There is so much talent in our country, I’m hoping these shows will give some local people with that raw ability the opportunity to share a stage with some better-known stars and who knows what will happen after that,” he hinted.

Tickets for Leisureland’s Marty Party are on sale now.
