Galway Bog Action group welcomes decision of Midlands Judge
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A bog action group in Galway is welcoming a decision by a Judge in the Midlands to dismiss a case brought against three brothers for turfcutting.
Thomas, Brian and Edward McGahern of Kilcogy in Cavan appeared before Mullingar District Court.
Judge Séamus Hughes said he was not in a position to make a decision as to jurisdiction and added that there was insufficient information before the court.
Spokesperson for the Baroughter/Clonmoylan/Ardraigue Bog Action Group, Dermot Moran, told Galway Bay fm News that the decision by the Judge in Mullingar is a postive one.
