Galway Bay fm newsroom – The board of Autism West Limited, which runs a centre for people with autism in Galway, is meeting this morning.
It follows the publication of a HIQA inspection report which found that a centre run by the organisation was non-compliant across ten areas during an announced inspection in March.
Areas on non-compliance noted by the health watchdog include social care and healthcare needs, as well as medication management and health and safety.
The report sets out an action plan of urgent improvements to be carried out at the centre, which the service has agreed to implement.
